The Friendly Frogs become dancers and performers as they explore different styles of dance from around the world. We listen to a variety of musical pieces and discuss how each style of music inspires different movements and emotions. The children have great fun pretending to be graceful ballet dancers, energetic jazz performers, and rhythmic tap dancers, using their bodies to bring each style to life. We talk about the sounds, tempo, and mood of the music and how dancers respond to it. The children confidently share their ideas and enjoy expressing themselves through movement and dramatic play.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, the children have been joyfully creating lovely flower-string artworks for their mums using cut-out flowers and beads. Each creation beautifully expresses their love and gratitude, brought to life through carefully selected colours and thoughtful touches. It was truly heartwarming to hear them talk about their mothers with such excitement as they crafted these meaningful gifts. Little hands, big love.

The Friendly Frogs explored life “Down On the Ground” and even imagined what might be happening up in the sky. They loved hopping like bunnies, stomping like bears, and pretending to be busy squirrels, then stretching up high as if reaching for clouds or flying like birds. There was lots of excitement during games, especially when they had to listen carefully and help find where things were hidden. The children used their imaginations to move in creative ways, from crawling low to the ground to soaring up high, while working together as a group. By the end of the week, everyone was smiling, wiggling, and full of energy from all the playful learning.

As they painted, the children also learned about New Year traditions and how people around the world celebrate this special occasion with fireworks, wishes, and hopes for the year ahead.

We explored how vehicles move by pretending to steer cars, paddle boats, and cruise along imaginary railways. The Frogs loved our playful stop-and-go activities, which brought big smiles and lots of movement. During music time, they sang, danced, and played instruments, bringing each vehicle theme to life through sound and rhythm. Their joyful croaks filled the room as they chugged like trains and beeped like busy little cars. Forming a long, wiggly Friendly Frog train quickly became a cherished group activity. With every turn, they encouraged the train to speed up, hopping with excitement as they zoomed along together.
