Position Overview
The Early Childhood Nursery Teacher’s main responsibility is to effectively implement the Happy Kids Curriculum and facilitate the students’ personal, social, and emotional development. The Early Childhood Nursery Teacher works collaboratively with all staff members, parents, and students and strives to ensure all interactions meet the needs of all students in line with the mission, philosophy, aims, and safeguarding guidelines of the school.

Qualifications and Experience
- Holds a valid Early Childhood qualification from the U.K. Diploma Level 3 or Hungarian ’kisgyermeknevelő’ qualification
- Proficient in oral and written English
- Recent experience teaching Early Childhood Nursery children
- Technology literate in Web and Google Applications
Preferred Skills and Experience
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, professional development in areas of best practice
- Experience with Course Management software
- Experience with online curriculum documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Implements school policies and procedures to support Happy Kids’ Mission, Philosophy, Aims and Safeguarding guidelines.
Main Duties
- Works in accordance with Happy Kids policies, understanding and implementing all school policies.
- Demonstrates high standards of spoken and written English (displays, Newsletters, Meeting Minutes, Weekly Plans, observations, assessments, eyLogs, etc.)
- Uses a range and balance of teaching strategies.
- Uses a variety of resources representing multiple perspectives.
- Active participation in constructive professional appraisal based directly on the points in the job description, therefore continually working to improve learning for students.
- Regularly posting eyLog Learning Journeys according to curriculum expectations, outlined by the School Director.
- Maintains high standards of dress and conduct, and generally sets a good example to all Happy Kids children.
- Maintains positive relationship with parents.
- Possesses pedagogical, psychological, healthcare, and childcare technical knowledge suitable for promoting, monitoring, and evaluating the physical and psychological development of healthy infants and toddlers, they support the children’s harmonious development, fostering activity, creativity, and independence.
- Professionally cares for and educates the children entrusted to them, following the applicable methodological principles.
- Ensures that furniture and toys are appropriate for the children’s developmental level and safety.
- Ensures the children get regular fresh air and that outdoor play conditions are safe and meet the children’s needs.
- Makes sure children are dressed appropriately for the weather and their gender.
- If a child becomes ill or has an accident, they report it to the School Director.
- They pay special attention to children who require dietary or special care.
- At the end of their work, they provide an oral or written report to their colleague about the events in the group.
- They maintain constant communication with parents, regularly informing them about daily events concerning their child.
- They ensure compliance with hygiene requirements.
- They keep order in their group and perform the necessary cleaning tasks (wiping tables after meals, keeping cabinets tidy, regularly washing toys, and, in the absence of a cleaner, sweeping and wiping up spilled food after meals).
- They participate in work meetings, group discussions, and further training sessions, continuously expanding their knowledge independently.
- They are responsible for the inventory items in their group.
- They adhere to workplace and fire safety regulations and attend annual training sessions.
- Their work is guided by professional ethical standards, particularly regarding the rights of children and parents, confidentiality, and data protection.
- They maintain the required records in their group.
