1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on the visitor’s browser when a website is opened, and which a website can use to make the user experience more efficient.

Some cookies are temporary and disappear when the browser is closed, while others are persistent and remain on the visitor’s device for a longer period.

2. Purpose of cookies

Different types of cookies serve various purposes.

Some cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the website (session cookies), while others collect information about how the website is used (statistical cookies), to make the site more convenient and useful.

  • By recording the visitor’s settings and usage habits, navigation on the site and thus the use of the website is made easier.
  • Improving user experience by collecting information on how the visitor uses the website and which subpages are visited or used most frequently. This helps us provide an even better user experience when the visitor returns.
  • Collecting statistics that help us understand how visitors use not only the website but also other online services, which we can then further develop.
  • Improving and adapting the website to meet the needs of its visitors more transparently.
  • In certain cases, placing targeted ads to display the most relevant offers for the visitor.

3. Storing and allowing cookies

According to the law, we may store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of our website. For all other types of cookies, we require your permission.

This website uses various types of cookies. Some cookies on our website are placed by third-party service providers.

You can modify or withdraw your consent to the Cookie Declaration on our website at any time.

You can learn more about who we are, how to contact us, and how we process personal data in our Privacy Policy.

4. Types of cookies

Necessary (session) cookies

Necessary (session) cookies are required for browsing the website and using certain essential functions, such as remembering actions taken by the visitor within a particular page, function, or service. Without these cookies, the smooth operation of the website cannot be guaranteed. These cookies are valid only for the duration of the visit and are automatically deleted at the end of the session or when the browser is closed.

Ensuring proper session functionality is carried out in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

Functional cookies

Functional cookies help perform certain functions such as sharing website content on social media platforms, collecting feedback, and using other third-party services.

Statistical cookies

Statistical cookies help website owners understand how visitors interact with the website by collecting and reporting data anonymously.

The website uses Google Analytics services to collect statistical data, which measure website traffic.

During use, data is transmitted. The transmitted data cannot be used to identify the visitor.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies—text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. However, if IP anonymization is activated on the website, Google will shorten your IP address within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the website operator, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that in this case, you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by cookies related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=hu.

This activates an opt-out cookie that prevents your data from being collected by Google Analytics during future visits to this website.

Marketing cookies

The purpose of using marketing cookies is to:

  • track visitors’ website activity in order to display advertisements that are most relevant or seem most important to them;
  • encourage user engagement, making the website more valuable for both content providers and third-party advertisers;
  • enable measurement of the performance of our campaigns.

The website uses Google Ads and Facebook Ads services, which measure website traffic data.

During use, data is transmitted. The transmitted data cannot be used to identify the visitor.

Google Ads

Google Ads is a web analytics and advertising service provided by Google Inc. (Google).

The Data Controller uses the Google Ads online advertising program, including Google’s conversion tracking service. Google Conversion Tracking is an analytics service provided by Google Inc.

When a visitor accesses the website through a Google ad, a cookie necessary for conversion tracking is placed on their device. These cookies are valid for a limited time and do not contain any personal data, so the visitor cannot be identified.

If the visitor browses certain pages of the website and the cookie has not expired, both Google and the Data Controller can see that the visitor clicked on the advertisement.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie, so cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers.

The information collected through conversion tracking cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This allows customers to see how many users clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged for conversion tracking. However, they do not receive information that could personally identify any visitor.

If you do not wish to participate in conversion tracking, you can refuse by disabling the option to install cookies in your browser settings. If visitors disable remarketing cookies, they will not see personalized offers from the service provider.

6. Controlling cookie settings, disabling cookies

Modern browsers allow you to change cookie settings. Some browsers accept cookies by default, but this setting can be modified to prevent automatic acceptance in the future. After adjusting this, your browser will offer you the option to choose cookie settings every time.

Even if cookies are allowed, the Data Controller does not store any identifiers or passwords. Visitors can use the services safely even if they accept cookies.

Please note that since cookies are intended to support and facilitate the usability and processes of the website, disabling them may limit the full functionality of the site. In this case, the website may not operate as intended in your browser.
