This lesson was all about pretend! The Friendly Frogs like to pretend to be different creatures which we can find in our garden. They enjoyed being little bees, who buzzed from flower to flower and collected nectar and pollen to make the honey.

Pretending or imaginative play is more than just a fun way for children to entertain themselves – it is a complex process that builds skills in several different developmental areas. By pretending, imagining, dramatising, and experimenting, children build language and communication skills, develop their capacity for empathy and cooperation, and practise creative problem-solving.
