The Bright Bunnies had a wonderful and active time exploring the concept of telling the time this week. We were gently introduced to the topic by reading the story Telling the Time, which helped the children understand why time is important in our everyday lives and sparked lots of curiosity and discussion. Following the story, the children worked in small groups using teaching clocks. They practised moving their hands, recognising numbers, and talking about different times of the day. This hands-on activity supported their understanding and encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving as they helped one another. The learning then moved outdoors, where the children’s excitement truly came alive. They played the classic game “What Time Is It, Mr Wolf?”, which reinforced time concepts through movement, listening, and counting. The fun continued with Human Clocks, where the children used their own bodies to form clock hands, demonstrating time playfully and memorably. Through stories, hands-on resources, and energetic outdoor games, the Bright Bunnies deepened their understanding of time while building confidence, cooperation, and joy in learning. It was a fantastic example of learning through play and a lot of fun was had along the way.
