Kids love music and dance! Through singing, dance, listening and actively using basic instruments we develop their appreciation and love of music. Music from different countries is used to stress the multicultural theme at Happy Kids and highlight the varied rhythms, instruments and languages from other areas of the world.
In partnership with the Dance Craze Acadamy, we offer weekly dance and ballet classes for children from age two.
Freestyle is the trendiest and most popular form of dance in the UK today. It involves runs, spins, kicks and leaps and lots of different arm and hand actions and groovy little steps. The music can be fast and ‘beaty’ or slow and beautiful, allowing dancers of all ages to use freedom of expression to enhance their style.
Have you ever seen the hottest pop band’s music videos? Then you will already know what street dance looks like. Street dance takes any form of popular music – from pop to hip hop – and choreographs routines to the beats. We have seen that, only too often, the most successful pop acts have made it big by combining street dance routines with their tunes and lyrics.
We always start with a great warm-up and strength and loosening exercises. We keep our classes, funky and fun. For young kids we use Kids-Pop with adapted words to their favourite hits!
Dance Craze Academy
At Dance Craze Academy we nurture the children’s enthusiasm and passion. In dance, drama and singing children will grow in confidence, have improved memory skills, greater flexibility, grace, spacial awareness and be treated like a star!
It’s about reaching their full potential and being a part of a team. Anyone can join regardless of natural ability. We will have your child feeling special in no time!
The body learns by repetition which we hide in fun dance routines and imaginative imagery whilst doing exercises. The working towards exams and the end of year show makes the children try hard to succeed and impress. We use positive feed back and learn to work as a team to achieve.
Dance is a process, not an overnight event. We keep our classes challenging to students while not rushing the process that may cause bad technique and injury. Highly enjoyable and fun is a number one rule!
