The Cheeky Monkeys children extended their knowledge and understanding of back ranks during one of their chess lessons. They learned how to give checks and checkmates using back ranks and completed various back-rank-themed chess puzzles. They also had a playdate with the chess pieces, where they learned the power of whispering. The original word never came back to the starting point. Not just that, but when they whispered a word to their neighbours, no one else knew or heard it, not even the chess pieces next to them.
