We have had a busy two weeks in the Cheeky Monkeys class either side of the Ski break. In the week before the holidays, the children finished their unit on the human body as a system and created a life-sized version of the human body with some of the vital organs such as the brain, the heart and the lungs displayed. This week, we delved deeper into the body by looking at the bones that make our skeleton. The children also marked their 100th day of school by designing their own celebratory glasses using various crayons for decoration. In Maths, the children have been working hard at one and two-step word problems involving addition and subtraction. We have been encouraging the children to read the word problems and try to understand which operation is required each time.
