We have had a busy fortnight in the Cheeky Monkeys with preparations for Environment Day. The children read a book on deforestation called ‘Where’s the Elephant?’. This inspired a collaborative art piece made in conjunction with the Brilliant Pandas. Next, the children celebrated Hungarian Ice Cream Day with a celebratory vanilla ice cream. Finally, we have continued our Unit of Inquiry on sustainability with a focus on recycling. The children learned about the importance of separating our rubbish and the meaning of each bin, from paper to plastic, to general waste and compost.
