We have had a busy fortnight in the Cheeky Monkeys, and Easter and Mother’s Day preparations are well underway. The children have been practising their writing skills through several activities related to the abovementioned themes. In mathematics, the children have been learning to tell the time to the hour and half hour by studying the hands on an analogue clock. Outside, they attempted to draw their clocks on the playground and plot the minutes using chalk. Next, they tried to show different times on the clock using their bodies. The children also visited the Budapest Zoo, continuing with our unit of inquiry on animals and their habitats. For International Book Day, the children retold the popular story from Judith Kerr, The Tiger Who Came to Tea.
