We have had another eventful two weeks. First, we had a visit from the dentist; we learned about the importance of brushing our teeth each day and taking care of ourselves by avoiding too much sugar. Each child received a certificate and a sticker for their efforts and patience while the dentist checked their teeth. For mathematics, the Brilliant Pandas continued to practice counting forwards and backwards to ten, and grouping pegs on a line according to the number they were given. In Jolly Phonics, we continued to learn the group 2 sounds with the songs and the actions and are beginning to blend group 1 and 2 sounds to read words. Finally, we celebrated the Harvest with our school assembly. The children performed their songs brilliantly and had fun outside with several games and activities to welcome the Harvest.
