Today, the Bright Bunnies had a blast engaging in echo and imitation activities through singing, dancing, and playing. Imitation and echo are powerful teaching tools that play a vital role throughout our lives—whether by the campfire, learning new songs, repeating words in school, or mimicking dance steps.
The children used familiar three-syllable words to explore the minuet’s three-beat rhythm, recreated the rhythm with body percussion, and practised the movements together.
These experiences enhance their current learning and lay the groundwork for future skills in learning an instrument, singing, or playing in an ensemble. They build the foundation for endless musical possibilities by incorporating rhythm, movement, and music.
